He has also distinction of working as a research scientist cum lecturer at Human Genetic Research cum counselling center,University of Jammu/Govt. Medical college, Jammu. He is recipient of JK Science Innovative Best Teacher Award-2012, from J & K state council of Science and Technology, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir, Best oral Presentation Award in JK Science Congress, Congress of Zoology Gold Medal awarded by Zoology Society of India & Bharat Jyoti Awarded by India International Education Society. He has also been awarded Fellowship award by Zoology Society of India (FZSI), Society of Life Science (FSLSc) and Academy of Environment and Life Sciences (FAELS). He has attended various conferences, Scientific sessions and conventions at state and National Level and has actively participated in health camps and awareness programme organized by department of community medicines SKIMS.
