Dr. Vivek Kumar Singh is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Botany, Government College, Sector-14, Gurugram, Haryana. Dr. Singh has Postdoctoral research experience of one year as Research Associate in Department of Botany, Institute of Science, BHU, Varanasi,U.P. Dr. Singh has completed his Ph.D. from BHU on the topic “Biochemical and molecular aspects of stress induced oxidative burst and cell death in Solanum lycopersicum L.” in 2015. His research interest is in “Plant-stress interactions” and specialization in the field of “Mycopathology and microbial technology”. His research focus is mainly on stress biology, mycotoxicology, ecophysiology and phytochemistry, environmental contamination and ecotoxicology and plant proteomics. Dr. Singh has a bright academic career as throughout First Division. He qualified GATE in 2010 and CSIR-NET in 2011. After Post graduation with distinction Dr. Singh launched his academic career in Doctoral Research with Prof. R. S. Upadhyay in Department of Botany, Institute of Science, BHU, Varanasi. His research work represents a general overview of the major mechanisms developed by tomato plant against the environment stresses, both biotic (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici and its potent toxin fusaric acid) and abiotic (Arsenic) ones. He has published seven research / review papers in the international journals and six chapters in the edited books of international repute. His research papers are in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry (Elsevier), Botanical Studies (Springer) and Toxicological and Environmental Chemistry (Taylor and Francis) journals and book chapters are published by springer/NOVA Science Wiley/Elsevier publishers. He is a life member of three scientific societies (AMI, BRSI and MSI). He has participated and presented papers in several international/ national / seminars / symposia / conferences / workshops / trainings in India and abroad (Thailand and Malaysia).
